The empathetic scenographer with a sense for atmosphere
Jasmin Stricker fell in love with the world of spatial design early on. Her passion for architecture, scenography, and interior design eventually led her to Nightnurse, where she can fully express her creative vision.
What career stages have you had?
After completing my Matura, I took my first step into the world of architecture. During my studies at the Institute of Interior Design and Scenography in Basel, I deepened my knowledge of spatial design. After brief stints in traditional interior design offices, at the opera, and in film, I found my way to Nightnurse.
What is your personal superpower—and how do you use it?
Empathy is the key to successful collaboration for me. By putting myself in the shoes of the architects, the project itself, and the recipients, I can distill the various perspectives into a common essence, creating harmonious and impactful visualizations.
What brought you to Nightnurse?
I was fascinated by the atmospheric representations created at Nightnurse from the very beginning. I was curious about the techniques and processes behind them and motivated to learn and develop this craft myself.
Which spaces or places particularly fascinate you and why?
I am captivated by spaces with a narrative aspect or special atmospheric qualities—whether it's a park, a residential neighborhood, a school, or public places. In these projects, emotions are often integrated as part of the design, providing an ideal foundation for storytelling.
What is the most beautiful thing that has ever been visualized?
Diving into the futuristic worlds of Blade Runner would be the ultimate for me. I am particularly fascinated by such detailed and atmospherically dense scenarios.
What do you love doing, when you're not working as a Nightnurse?
To balance the digital workday, I enjoy hiking in nature, gardening, or immersing myself in music. These activities help me recharge and inspire my creativity.
