Visualization of a development plan
Located in the northern part of Basel, large logistics, industrial, and port areas are set to be transformed for new uses. The project aims to overcome the urban barrier of the current port railway, creating new living and working spaces. Based on various studies and recommendations from a neighborhood support group, Baukontor Architekten developed a plan for the Klybeckquai and Westquai.

Only the basic volumes existed in the development plan, without specific architecture, posing a challenge for interpreting and visually representing the facades. Additionally, incorporating the iconic existing buildings and industrial elements required a delicate approach. The representations were intended to maintain an artistic touch, allowing for an open architectural interpretation and highlighting the project's potential.
Subtle overall impression without unwanted details
We have developed various facade proposals to showcase the modern architectural elements of the neighborhood in a distinctive manner. Employing techniques such as manual drawing and scanning of designs, we opted for an artistic approach. The visualization presents itself with a painterly touch, delicately conveying a subtle overall impression without committing to unwanted details.
