When Artist and Architects Come Together for #BLM

We are honored to be part of the BLM Mural at Foley Square. We share our footage for free use.

At Nightnurse Images we believe it is of great importance to support the Black Lives Matter movement. More than just calling for change we aim to actively be part of the change. One of our oldest collaborators, WXY Studio, was recently asked to help coordinate and plan the Black Lives Matter mural in Foley Square, Manhattan, and we were honored when they reached out for our support in documenting its completion through drone photography and film. Designed by artists and architects, the mural was painted by the street artist group, TATS CRU, and a non-profit for youths called Thrive Collective.

The location is special, not only because Foley Square is both the Civic Center, and a center of protests, but also because the street in which the mural is painted leads up to the African Burial Ground National Monument that stands in memory of the people of African descent who were buried at there during its use in the 17th and 18th centuries. A powerful and historical junction.
