Our Christmas Card Challenge 2025
This year, we came up with something new for our Christmas cards and launched a small internal challenge.
The mission: transform images from some of our best client projects into winter or Christmas versions using AI, as fast as possible, and with as much creativity as possible. Sounds simple. Sometimes it was!
The process was incredibly exciting for us and surprisingly educational. There were moments when we genuinely thought, “Okay wow this is possible now?!”
And then there were the other moments when we just wanted to tear our hair out.
What became quite clear: the tools are getting better and better, but good results don’t happen on their own. You have to work deliberately, experiment, and iterate.
Good prompts are worth their weight in gold. Even more important, though, is your own creativity. If you’re not careful, you very quickly end up with generic AI images that you forget again after a few seconds.
That’s why our goal was a clear connection to each project and a touch of wit. We didn’t want to create just pretty winter images, but visuals that stay true to the original project and include at least a subtle wink. Winter, yes but with character.
We’re absolutely delighted with the results (and with the failures, which at least entertained us greatly). Below you can see a selection of the images we transformed into festive versions as part of our challenge. Each project had its own distinct character, which makes it all the harder to choose a favorite.
