In the 2023 project competition for the new Telli Secondary School Center in Aarau, Penzel Valier developed the proposal “ASSEMBLY”. Four buildings are arranged around a central boulevard. The center building on Tellistrasse brings together the cafeteria, assembly hall and sports halls, while comb-like classroom wings connect learning clusters, courtyards and outdoor spaces. The campus was conceived in two stages for up to 66 classes.
Nightnurse created three competition visualizations that translate the scale of the campus into specific places. The all-weather sports field, park side and planted learning courtyard each reveal a different relationship between everyday school life, architecture and landscape. The coordinated image series clarified entrances, transitions and the quality of the campus’s gathering spaces, giving the jury an accessible view of the proposal’s spatial organization.

On the park side, open circulation zones and terraces articulate the long classroom wings. The perspective shows how the architecture opens onto the landscape and divides the large campus into manageable areas for everyday school life.
At the all-weather sports field, the center building, classroom wings and central boulevard converge. The visualization brings the entrance on Tellistrasse, the public uses and the connection into the depth of the site together in a single image.
