A Vibrant Neighborhood for All Generations
The Steinacker district in Kloten is set to transform into a lively, family-friendly, and sustainably designed area. The project aims to combine modern residential, work, and recreational spaces while creating public areas that serve as gathering points for all generations. This extensive redevelopment is part of the "Kloten 2030" urban development initiative and requires adjustments to the master plan as well as a new building and zoning ordinance.

Our visualizations serve as a central communication tool for the project, showcasing the potential and opportunities of the new Steinacker district to the people of Kloten. They provide tangible insights into the planned changes and convey an emotional understanding of the improved quality of life the future Steinacker neighborhood will offer. The goal is to engage citizens and raise awareness for the upcoming vote on the zoning plan amendment.
As the project is in an early phase and lacks architectural designs, we focused on visualizing the future lifestyle and spatial qualities. Distinctive elements of Kloten were intentionally integrated into the images to create a strong sense of local identity. In close collaboration with the neighborhood association and the city, we developed visualizations that reflect the community's values and needs.

Starting with simple image concepts, we developed scenarios to test the desired atmosphere and composition. These drafts were gradually refined into detailed, expressive visualizations. The final images depict the Steinacker district as a vibrant, green community space, using an inspiring visual language to support informed decision-making for the upcoming zoning plan amendment vote.
