Walkeweg Site
Between Dreispitz S-Bahn station and Wolfgottesacker cemetery, a new six-hectare district is taking shape for up to 650 residents. Affordable housing, a primary school, neighborhood squares and around 12,000 square meters of green and natural areas are being connected into a coherent public-space network.
Nightnurse developed visualizations of the Katja Wulff-Anlage, Iris von Roten-Platz and other public spaces for public communication. Through close consultation, we translated spatial, social and ecological requirements into tangible everyday scenes. The image series shows how play, social interaction, biodiversity and rainwater management work together, communicating these relationships clearly to policymakers and the public.

A network of public spaces
Katja Wulff-Anlage, Iris von Roten-Platz, Kunigunde-Platz and Gretel Bolliger-Promenade each serve a different purpose. Together, they form a network of play areas, social spaces and natural environments connecting the development plots with the school, public transport and the existing neighborhood.
The image series had to present housing, education, mobility, recreation and ecological compensation within a dense urban setting. Vegetation, street furniture, paths and user groups were therefore carefully coordinated across every perspective.
Making plans easy to understand
The visualizations translate plans and technical information into tangible everyday scenes. They show how children, families, cyclists and other members of the neighborhood will experience these spaces, and how biodiversity, shade and rainwater infiltration are integrated into the design.
This makes the relationship between the public spaces clear at a glance and supports communication with policymakers, local residents and the wider public.
