Redesign of the village square in Rorbas

Gemeinde Rorbas

Big projects don’t start with excavators, but with images in the mind.
For the Municipality of Rorbas, we made this vision visible a sense of how a place feels when it is reimagined.

What began as a complex construction project the renovation of Kirchgasse, the replacement of the Wildbach bridge, and the creation of barrier-free bus stops — was transformed into a tangible, emotional story. One that shows how the village center can change, open up, and come to life.

New life for the village square

Strategy

Our work went far beyond creating attractive images. We advised the municipality, explored different scenarios, examined sightlines, identified qualities of stay, and repeatedly asked: How will this place be used? Who moves through it? What remains once the construction fences are gone?

The visualizations made the project easy to understand and communicate

For the mayor and for the public. They helped build trust, clearly convey the project’s added value, and make complex relationships easier to grasp. At the public presentation, residents were able for the first time to form a concrete impression of what the new village square could look like and how it might feel.

Experiencing the Future

In this way, a technical infrastructure project became a shared vision, one that convinces not only through figures and plans, but also engages people. And this is precisely the power of good visualization: it makes the future tangible, even before it is built.

A Shared Vision

We are proud to have accompanied the municipality of Rorbas on this journey. Even though the project was ultimately not realized, the vision remains: a village square reimagined open, vibrant, and accessible to all.

Our work demonstrated the potential of this place and how powerful images can be in telling the story of the future and sparking discussion.

We make visions visible.
