Urban Connectivity and Community Development
Gleis Süd is a redevelopment project in Pratteln, transforming an industrial site into a vibrant residential, living, and working space. The project aims to connect the historic village core, existing residential areas, and a dynamic environment around the train station, becoming a central part of Pratteln Mitte. Buchner Bründler Architekten and Berchtold.Lenzin Landschaftsarchitekten were chosen for their innovative solutions.
Development of a specific visual language
Public relations visualizations
The visualizations needed to emphasize life in the neighborhood, capturing mood, diversity, landscape, and usage. They also aimed to show the outdoor spaces at different times of day and year. The biggest challenge was developing a refined style that, despite the early project stage, conveyed a cohesive sense of living, working, and experiencing life in the Gleis Süd district.
In close collaboration with HIAG, we iteratively developed the appropriate visual language through multiple stages and video calls. Given the project's early stage, we agreed on an abstract architectural visualization style, refining it step by step. The resulting images are detailed and atmospheric, focusing on the concretized outdoor spaces while subtly hinting at the architecture on the sides, leaving room for interpretation.
