Animation and Film

Animation brings architecture to life through movement. Camera movements, changing light and carefully considered transitions reveal spaces and their relationships – from individual details to the project as a whole.

We create moving images for real estate marketing and the communication of public projects. From a short sequence to a fully developed film, we tailor the format and storytelling to your project and its audience.

Le Chevreuil, Meursault

For the marketing of Le Chevreuil, we developed the film concept and visual narrative and handled the entire production. We combined architectural and interior animation with live-action footage from a multi-day shoot in Meursault. The film tells the story of the future hotel and its connection to Burgundy’s landscape, wine culture and cuisine. -> View project

Available formats at a glance

Subtly animated images for website headers or gentle introductions. They combine the clarity of a still image with the impact of movement.

Short, focused sequences that communicate spatial relationships in just a few seconds. Suitable for social media and websites.

Fully developed films with a narrative structure that presents a project as a coherent story.

Films with storyboards and voiceovers that explain sequences, processes or concepts for how a space will be used.

Animation can be combined with drone footage or scenes filmed on location.

Denzler House

To support the marketing of Denzler House, we reconstructed the historic building fabric in 3D using photographs. Wood panelling, stucco ceilings and the painted tiled stove became part of a detailed digital environment. This forms the basis for the animation and virtual tour, which let viewers experience the rooms from different perspectives. -> View project

E-Bike City

For ETH Zurich’s E-Bike City research project, we translated a long-term mobility vision into tangible streetscapes and everyday situations. We developed visual concepts, visualizations and animations showing different users’ perspectives and the spatial effects of a reorganized transport system. This makes the vision accessible and open to discussion among researchers, policymakers and the public. -> View project

Frequently asked questions about
Animation and Film

Whenever a project needs to be experienced rather than simply shown. Animation helps explain sequences, routes and spatial relationships and guides viewers through the content. It also has a stronger emotional impact than static images, giving viewers a more direct connection to the project.

Animation attracts more attention and is easier to remember. It communicates information clearly and concisely – in presentations, on websites, in public communication or on social media. For complex projects in particular, it helps people grasp the content more quickly and makes it easier to explain.

Depending on the scope and level of detail, production takes several weeks to a few months. Animation is generally more complex than a project consisting solely of still visualizations and therefore requires more time. Shorter formats can also be produced within tighter schedules.

Concise films are often the most effective. Many subjects can be communicated clearly in 30 to 90 seconds, as attention rarely lasts much longer. We aim for a good rhythm, combining shorter sequences with quieter moments.

We usually produce animations in Full HD or 4K in landscape format for presentations and websites. If required, we also create portrait formats (9:16), which are particularly suitable for social media.

A cinemagraph is a subtly animated image that works particularly well in website headers or gentle introductions. It combines the clarity of a still image with the impact of movement.
