Le Chevreuil transforms an aging hotel in Meursault into a boutique hotel that combines Burgundian hospitality with international ambition. Initiated by people from the region and developed with a largely local architecture and construction team, the hotel welcomes international travelers as well as visitors from Meursault and the surrounding area.
Our work unfolded in two clearly defined phases. During planning and construction, we supported the design with digital prototypes. Options could be compared directly; spatial qualities, materials, details and finishes could be assessed jointly by the project team, investors and other decision-makers.
For the hotel’s marketing, we then developed a new visual concept, reworked the existing visualizations and produced a project film combining animation with footage from a multi-day shoot in Meursault.

In the first phase, planning and construction were already running in parallel. Using digital prototypes, we tested architectural options, made spatial qualities tangible and clarified open questions concerning materials, details and finishes. This gave the project team, investors and other decision-makers a shared visual basis for concrete design decisions.
Numerous design iterations were created for several rooms. We varied proportions, built-in elements, materials and viewpoints, making the impact of every change immediately visible. This allowed everyone involved to compare alternatives directly, make decisions and refine the design before the respective solutions were implemented on site.
No two rooms are alike. Compact floor plans, complex geometries and attic spaces required individual solutions within the existing fabric. Recurring materials, colors and lighting moods nevertheless create a shared design language. For the visualizations, camera position and light also had to be calibrated anew in every room so that even difficult geometries became clear, legible and atmospheric.
In the second phase, the design tool became a visual world for marketing. We redeveloped the visual guidelines, reworked earlier images and defined camera positions, times of day, details and the sequence of motifs. Each image communicates a distinct part of the offer—from the individually designed rooms to the wine bar, restaurant and terrace—and positions Le Chevreuil as a high-end boutique hotel for an international audience.
The project film presents Le Chevreuil not in isolation, but as part of the region. Live-action footage from Meursault anchors it in the landscape, wine culture and the pleasures of Burgundy; animation makes architecture and interiors part of the same narrative. The hotel appears not merely as accommodation, but as a starting point from which to experience Burgundy and its local culture. We developed the concept, visual narrative and animation, and produced the film in its entirety—including a multi-day shoot on location.
